Enbelishment Samples

For Tomomori's shirt, I sampled a /lot/ of embellishment techniques, from a couple of different fabrics in machine applique (lower left) to sealing the applique with paint (lower right) to iron-on embellishment stuff... the whole top sample is with composite gold leaf fused to Heat 'n Bond. While I toyed with the idea of edging that with some sort of paint or painting the entire design, I ended up leaving the gold leaf on it's own in the final product. The technique is actually one I picked up from a Japanese Inspirations quilting book and modified a bit to suit my needs and the stretch material's I was using. ^_^
